Postcard and Letter Competition

                                                                Rules and How to Enter

 

1.        The promoter of the Postcard and Letter Competition is:

                             Literacy Matters Ltd

                             30A Market Street

                             Disley

                             Stockport

                             Cheshire

                             SK12 2DT

2.       The Postcard and Letter Competition is open to children aged 3-11 years

3.       Every entry must have the name, date of birth, year group and school of each entrant clearly marked

4.       All entries should represent the children’s own and unaided work

5.       Entries should be sent via email to competition@literacymatters.com or post to the address above.

6.       The closing date for all entries is Tuesday 29th June 2004

7.       Individual entries should be in the form of a postcard or letter

8.       The entries will be judged according to the criteria identified for each year group, i.e. the curricular targets on the appropriate weekly lesson plan

9.       Teachers/adults are responsible for entering the children’s work

10.     Prizes awarded will be a book for each year group.  The book prizes are sponsored by Madeleine Lindley Ltd

11.      No substitute (cash or otherwise) is available for the prizes offered in the competition

12.     The judges’ decision is final and there is no appeal system should an application be rejected. No correspondence will be entered into

13.     Winners will be notified by Monday 12th July 2004

14.     A list of winners will be published on the website www.literacymatters.com from Wednesday 14th July 2004

15.     Winning entries will be posted on the website

16.     It is a condition of entry that letters and postcards submitted may be used or published by Literacy Matters Ltd in the future

17.     Literacy Matters Ltd owns the copyright on all materials provided for the competition

18.     Entry will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions

19.     Literacy Matters Ltd reserves the right to impose further conditions at the time any entry is being made
